a ha !!! Hello my lovelies. This is my 1st blog post. So, It’s been a while that I have attended “Personal Grooming Workshop” organised by – “Get High on Glam” this women’s day which was on 7th march 2016. This 3 and a half hours program was hosted by – Chitrangada Anand at Doon Public School, Sector 21, Panchkula.
To attend this workshop, I registered myself over phone previous day of the workshop. Next day, I paid cash on spot just few minutes before the presentation. Actually, fee was Rs. 500/- for 1 participant but a lady asked me if I would not mind sharing fee with her.So, I agreed and it was reduced to Rs 900/-,only if 2 persons booked seats together. Wow !!! If you calculate, I got the seat for Rs.450/-.
The host told us about skincare routine. and 2 makeup looks. The presentation was divided into 3 parts –
1. Introduction to skin types.
2. CTM – Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturizing.
3. Make up looks – Day/ Night Both.
Though, the participants were near about 10 ladies only, it was fun. It was quit a informative and interactive session where we were told from skincare to makeup looks to makeup brushes, etc. The host gave us many useful tips and tricks –
1. Use products according to skin types. For example, apply rose water for dry skin as a toner.
2. In hot country like India, Sunscreen lotion/cream should be of SPF 40/50.
3.The leftover kajal will cause damage for your eye lashes. To remove kajal properly from eyes, use almond oil. Oil should not be scented.
4. One should use organic products to avoid any kind of side effects.
5. Read ingredients on back of the products. Don’t buy products with harsh chemicals.
6. One should do countering and highlighting according to face wash.
7. Along with Day Cream, Night Cream for better glowing skin.
8. While applying cream, the massaging direction should be upwards to prevent wrinkles for longer period.
9. Use baby Tissue papers for removing makeup. Since other tissue clothes have alcohol in them which is not good for skin.
10. Try to use organic products because they have synthetic ingredients.
If you notice, there is night look on the right side of model and day make up look on the left side of hers on the face.
This workshop also gave us a home remedy tip for making a scrub in your kitchen.
Method –
Step 1 – Soak red lentil (Masoor ki dal) and almonds overnight. Quantity should be according to usage.
Step 2 – Grind them to paste.
Step 3 – Mix olive oil.
Step 4 – Scrub once a week with lukewarm water.
I’m ready for next post soon. Bye for now.
